Stef Biemans journeys down one of Colombia’s main waterways: the Magdalena River, which originates in the Andes and ends in the Caribbean Sea.

This is the most hopeful period in Colombia’s history: the peace has been signed and the country wants to look towards the future. Colombians are looking forward to new roads and bridges being constructed. At the same time, the Magdalena River, also known as the mother of the country, still means a lot to inhabitants. What will progress destroy?
